Recent news highlights the significant activities of the Border Security Force (BSF) across various fronts in India. Along the Indo-Pakistan border, the BSF has seized a substantial quantity of contraband, with reports indicating the seizure of 200 drones and 287 kg of heroin so far this year. In Punjab, a joint operation by the Punjab Police and BSF near the India-Pakistan border in Khemkaran, Tarn Taran, successfully busted an arms smuggling racket based on intelligence gathering. Furthermore, the BSF's efforts in counter-insurgency are evident in Chhattisgarh's Kanker region, where 50 CPI (Maoist) cadres surrendered along with 39 weapons. Separately, the Indian Army, in an operation along the Line of Control (LOC), foiled an infiltration attempt, resulting in the killing of terrorists. In a non-operational but noteworthy development, brothers in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, have purchased a BSF plane for ₹40 lakh, with plans to convert it into a luxury cabin stay.
